About the role
Will run shows on TAIT Nomad automation desk running eChameleon. Operating the following effects: 8 Performer Fly Points, 4 traverse tracks, carousel ring (above a turntable with 3 performer fly points attached), turntable, riser which moves from stage level up, stairs (part of the LED wall moves from wall to stage), lift (moves from Dk 8 to stage level), 4 curved scrims (track up and down), 2 straight scrims (track up and down).
Will complete daily inspections and pre-checks of all rigging and flying equipment, including motors, winches, cables, hardware, apparatus, and harnesses.
Will ensure the safe setup, use and maintenance of all rigging, aerial, and automation equipment used by Cast and Technicians during performances, rehearsals, and training.
Will maintain and service equipment in venue as needed.
Will assist as needed with all events, trainings, and happenings that occur within the venue, this includes but is not limited running basic audio, lighting, and video play back.
Will assist with overall production needs as reasonably requested. Will pitch in with other production related duties as necessary. This includes but is not limited to general maintenance for technical equipment, and scenic and prop elements.
Keep a working knowledge of the other RWS Technicians’ show tracks and duties.
Will play an active role in cast changeovers and installations of new programming. Knowing that during these periods of time work hours will increase while remaining in line with ILO and Maritime law.
Will work seven (7) days per week for periods of up to 6 to 8-months at a time.
Able to work across multiple venues, learning multiple tracks for running shows and events as needed.
Able to work at height in harnesses, Genies, and ladders; stand for long periods of time; consistently lift 75 pounds in fulfillment of responsibilities.
Advanced fluency in spoken and written English.
Have a valid passport not expiring with in 6 months past the length of the contract and able to obtain visas required given the sailing itinerary of the ship.
